National Tiger Day - 5 Play Ideas

The beautiful, awe-inspiring tiger is one of our planet’s most iconic animals. But here’s the shocking truth. Wild tiger numbers dropped by more than 95% since the beginning of the 20th century. Now, for the first time in conservation history, their numbers are on the increase. (Source: WWF)

There are lots of things that you can do at home with your children to continue to raise awareness of tigers whilst having fun too, here's 5 ideas for you...

🐯Look online and in books of pictures of Tigers. Learn all about them - what they look like, talk about where they live, what they eat.
🐯Have a go at drawing/painting a tiger. What colours do you need to use?
🐯Read books that have a Tiger as a character. One of my favourites has to be 'The Tiger Who Came for Tea'.
🐯Can you walk like a tiger? How about roar like a tiger?
🐯Create Tiger Handprints - have a google to see what I mean!
